4 Great Quit Smoking Tips For a Healthier Life

Everywhere you surf online you can find quit smoking tips and stop smoking aids. If you are looking to quit smoking below are some quick start tips to help you kick this habit out of your life for good.

1) Nicotine patches and gum may work for some people but it’s not a must while most have reported to fail again and again. Using gum or patches is not only expensive but you still introduce nicotine.

2) If you happen to have any more cigarettes, lighters or matches in your house try and remove them right away. Every time you want to smoke a cigarette these will remind you of smoking, therefore removing them will reduce the urge to smoke.

3) Make sure you tell all your friends and family about your desire to quit smoking for good. It’s important whilst you need support from both friends/family or co-workers. When you finally decide to quit it’s always better that you find a friend that also wants to give up smoking so that you’re not all alone. This way your will power will considerably increase.

4) You should be aware that immediate results are pretty much impossible. A rather rapid and proven way to quit smoking is by using hypnotherapy and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming). These method are very effective and you’ll never crave for a cigarette again. Several online programs are available that are based on hypnotherapy. They are proven methods that thousands of people have used to finally quit smoking without having to spend thousands on other stop smoking aids that may not even work.

I hope all these easy quick smoking tips will help and you should try them out. Whatever stop smoking aid you will use you should know that your will power plays an important role in your ‘quit smoking journey’.

Quitting Smoking With Hypnosis ?

Quit smoking hypnosis is slowly gaining grounds as many ex-smokers would attest to its effectiveness. There are several smokers who don’t mind testifying that they were cured from their addiction after meeting and having sessions with a hypnotist who specializes in hypnotizing smokers.

There are believers but there are also some skeptics but the effectiveness of hypnotism should not be underestimated. As long as it helps smokers become ex-smokers, it is indeed worth a try.

The effect of hypnotism to a human brain has long been debated by scientists. Hypnotism is nothing new to us but the use of hypnotism to help people stop their urge to smoke is still relatively new. We all heard of stories about people suddenly acting like animals simply because their hypnotist instructs them so, so why won’t they stop smoking if the hypnotist tells them so?

Quit smoking hypnosis is not for all smokers though. Some would be cured almost instantly while some won’t ever see any results from it. It really depends on the person if he/she truly believes that hypnotism would work on them. If it works then they spared themselves of the withdrawal symptoms experienced by smokers who want to kick the habit, if it doesn’t work for them then at least they tried it and could brag about being hypnotized to their friends.

Bottom line here is this, there are different ways to quit smoking and there’s nothing wrong if you try them out as long as they are safe. Make sure if ever you decide to go to a hypnotist that it’s a reputable hypnotist as hypnotism can trigger negative effects on you if the hypnotist would play around with your brain’s system. Don’t entrust yourself to someone who only plays around with hypnotism but trust the reputable and well-experienced ones only.

Cleansing Your Lungs – A Little Known Way To Quit Smoking

Many smokers who want to quit are overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options that are thrown at them from nicotine patches & gum to hypnotherapy and more! Cleansing your lungs may seem like just another odd home remedy which can seem old fashioned compared to expensive laser surgery and other more modern methods and while this is something you can do at home it is certainly not lacking in effect!

Not only does having a healthy set of lungs give you many health and well being benefits such as:

  • Less chance of lung cancer
  • Easier breathing
  • Get rid of smoker’s coughs
  • Better Cardio
  • Better blood circulation and more

Cleansing your lungs will also actually make you dislike cigarette smoke making it repellant to you rather than something you want and crave. This is because once you have cleaned out the tar buildups which also contain nicotine that continues to feed into your blood your body no longer tolerates such toxins whereas before it had to

This will not happen overnight and will not completely overcome the psychological addiction of cigarettes which is where most people actually fail because they are so focused on nicotine withdrawals and cravings they forget to look at the mental side of addiction. However with a body free of the physical problems leaves you with the willpower, time and energy to focus on that part which is a big bonus

Now, the average smoker takes about 15-20 years to finally rid their lungs of all the impurities which is a long time but cleansing your lungs with proper lung exercises, vitamins and diet changes can reduce this to less than a year if done correctly.

So, to find out how you can stave off lung cancer, shortness of breath and have your body fight for you rather than against you when quitting click below for more lung detox information.

Cigarette Smoking Pros And Cons Review

If you are a smoker, I would be willing to bet that you can easily come up with the Pros associated with cigarette smoking. As for the Cons, you may not be aware of them, until some one actually takes the time to point them out. We will discuss Cigarette Smoking Pros and Cons here.

Cigarette Smoking Pros

I can come up with approximately 3 pros associated with smoking cigarettes. I can always remember my grandmother telling me why she got into smoking cigarettes. Surprisingly, the pros are much the same today
as they were in the 1940′s through the 1960′s when everyone’ was smoking.

1) It makes you look cool and/or sexy.

2) It is an icebreaker at parties and pretty much any social gathering where others smoke.

3) It can really calm your nerves in a high stress situation.

While the pro’s aren’t really earth-shattering, at one point in time, if you didn’t smoke; you just did not fit in. You had to smoke to be accepted in American Society.

Cigarette Smoking Cons

As for the cons associated with cigarette smoking, there are so many I can’t possibly cover them all here. I will list them here as a quick reference for you:

1) It makes breathing very difficult.

2) You cough constantly.

3) Bad breath and yellow teeth.

4) It is associated with lung cancer and many other debilitating health issues.

5) Smoke from cigarettes is not only stinky, the second hand smoke has proven dangerous.

6) It is no longer widely accepted as a social ice breaker.

7) Public places strongly discourage smokers from lighting up in nearly every state.

If you are tired of being banished to the far corners of restaurants,
airports and other public places, I have just the solution for your

Hypnosis And The Devil

Many people believe that a hypnotist has supernatural powers and can control you. This is absolutely false. If you ever saw my hypnosis stage shows (which I no longer perform) it appears as if I am controlling them but as my shows proved hypnotized people will never do anything against their will. The CIA also conducted secret experiments in the 1950s using hypnosis and drugs to try and create the ultimate war soldier and they learned that they couldn’t force people to act against their deepest will.

Hypnosis (similar to meditation) is an altered state of consciousness whereby you are open to suggestion and able to access the subconscious mind and vividly recall and feel past events. It is similar to daydreaming and guided or creative visualization. Neurologically, hypnosis is a state where your brain waves slow down and the slower your brain waves are, the more relaxed you become and the faster you learn and absorb information. Hypnosis is not sleep.

An example of hypnosis or trance is driving a car and reaching your destination without remembering most of the journey, having lost track of time. Another example is watching a movie and feeling it as real, experiencing all of the emotions – fear, laughter, suspense, excitement, anger, tension – even though we know it is just a movie. I remember one friend who went into trance after seeing the movie Rocky for the first time. He was so moved and energized by the movie, he ran all the way home – seven miles – without even saying goodbye!

Here is a secret: all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. In other words, the hypnotist gives you the suggestions to relax, breathe deeply, etc and you decide to follow or not. You have complete control at all times as evidenced by Steve on the Montel shown at our website. And if you are worried about being brainwashed, then take note of everything you watch, listen or read. They are all affecting your mind. Take charge of your mind and what you feed it.

As Montel pointed out on his TV show this past Monday, hypnotherapy and my techniques are vastly different from traditional hypnosis for stop smoking or other symptom removal. What I do is not simply suggestion, commands nor NLP. I go deeper under hypnosis to uncover the root cause of the issue, indentifying the triggering event during childhood, release the emotions, identify what beliefs were taken on at the time, gain new understanding about the event – why it happened, understand that the event is now over, done with and in the past (the subconscious mind loops the event) forgive the people associated with the triggering event, express compassion for self and those people, and take on new beliefs about self, the world and life. Also, command or suggestion hypnosis will not clear the cause of the issue or block – it only works to try and remove the symptom. I do not do symptom removal. I always seek out the cause so that the client can get the real healing. No one has done this process of hypnotherapy on national TV prior to this week.

Notice that I stress the importance of forgiveness and compassion. This is my primary intention and it is the same thing that Jesus, Mother Theresa and all the great teachers emphasized: love and forgiveness. I believe the key to being set free of most of our issues is forgiveness, which comes from insights and new understanding about past events, and the people who did or didn’t do things to and for us. Note Jesus’ last words, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” Permanent change occurs when there is new understanding and this is the greatest difference between hypnosis (suggestions and commands) and hypnotherapy.

What Smoking Does To You: Good Reasons To Quit Today

When you stop to consider what smoking does to you, you should find some very good reasons to quit smoking today.

Due to the fact that cigarettes are a cocktail of chemicals, they are the most health-damaging of all nicotine and tobacco products because of the way the smoke (with over 3,000 different chemicals) delivers toxins into the body.

Smoking not only causes cancers of the respiratory system, it also multiplies the risk of cervical cancer by 4 times, doubles the risk of breast and stomach cancers and is considered to be responsible for 40% of bladder and kidney cancers.

With wrinkled skin and yellowed teeth, many smokers look a lot older than their age; it is also the major preventable cause of macular degeneration, an irreversible condition which causes blurred central vision in older people.

The Effects Of Smoking:

  • Smoking causes some 50 diseases, 20 of which are fatal. When you smoke, you have a two to three times higher risk of having a heart attack as it increases your blood pressure as well as the tendency for the development of blood clots, both precursors of heart disease and possible heart attacks or stroke.
  • Smoking effects include fatal diseases such as pneumonia, emphysema, pleurisy and lung cancer.
  • Smoking has shown to be an indicator in the development of dementia and other cognitive illnesses.
  • Smoking is hard on the heart, but the fact is, tobacco use plays a role in a multitude of diseases that ultimately lead to disability and/or death.
  • Heart attack and stroke UK studies show that smokers in their 30s and 40s are five times more likely to have a heart attack than non-smokers.
  • Research published in the American Journal of Public Health shows that smokers over the age of 40 have a much faster rate of memory loss than non-smokers.

The Effect Of Smoking On Women

Women of childbearing age who smoke face higher rates of infertility and greater risks for complications during pregnancy. Women who quit smoking as late as the first trimester may diminish some of these risks, but the risk of certain congenital malformations – such as cleft palate – is increased even in women who quit early in pregnancy.

Smokers have a fourfold risk of having a low birth-weight baby; such babies are more likely than normal-weight babies to have impaired physical, emotional, and intellectual development.

Smoking is viewed by the health profession as the most preventable cause of death in the modern world.

Research shows that one of the most important elements in successfully stopping smoking is planning ahead and that hypnosis for smoking is more effective in helping smokers quit, out of all the new methods including Nicotine Replacement, Group Therapy, and Acupuncture amongst many others.

Peter Fisher is an ex-smoker, webmaster and career coach at EbookDownloads.biz where you can download information to help you quit smoking. So when you know what smoking does to you, is there any reason whatsoever to continue? Shouldn’t you quit smoking now?

3 Reasons The “It’S Hard To Stop Smoking” Myth Is Perpetuated

“We all know how hard it is to quit smoking,” declared the TV host.

(I thought that an odd statement from a man who I’d heard profess that he’d never smoked himself.) He then introduced his guests, three recent quitters who’d appeared on the early morning show five months prior and, in front of their families an millions of viewers in TV land, dramatically tossed their cigarette packs in the trash. Now they were back to speak of their progress.

Much to the disappointment of the skeptics out there all three were able to confidently label themselves “non-smokers.” One had quit with the help of the nicotine patch, another used Chantix and the third received acupuncture therapy. Then came the bombshell burst that, despite its potential percussive power, went unheard.

“On a scale of 1 to 10,” the host asked, “how would each of you rate the difficulty of quitting?”

“4,” said acupuncture.

“Yeah, that would be about right,” proclaimed the patch. “I’d say 4.”

“1; it really was no big deal,” stated Chantix.

Then the show’s chief medical expert was asked to comment. She congratulated them for their successes but cautioned that they would have to be wary because of the high incidence of relapse during the first year; thanks for the vote of confidence, Dr. S. Within minutes she had a scathing email from me demanding that she stop perpetuating “the myth.” Three guest had declared in front of millions of people that quitting smoking was no big deal!

The myth states that quitting smoking is akin to living the rest of your life with a pain similar to giving birth to a rosebush. Following are three reasons why I believe this lie is perpetuated.

#3. It gives the unsuccessful quitter an excuse when he fails. “We all know how hard it is to quit smoking,” he proclaims. “Of course we all know,” agree his disappointed supporters.

#2. In the unlikely event the quitter succeeds it gives her unparalleled bragging rights. “Hey! Did you hear that I quit smoking?”

“Holy cow, that’s unbelievable! I climbed Everest last Spring wearing Speedos and wooden shoes and thought that was tough. But you quit smoking? That’s unbelievable; we all know how hard it is to quit smoking!”

And finally, the #1 reason that the myth is perpetuated is…

Because we tend to get what we expect in life. If we believe the car salesman will cheat us we look for evidence to support that belief. If we believe a certain ethnic groups will act in a certain way we will find reasons to be right. If we believe that performing a specific task, like quitting smoking, will be difficult, our brain will demand that belief be validated.

I came to believe that quitting would be easy–and I got just what I expected.

How Hypnotherapy Helps People To Stop Smoking

As any smoker knows and anybody else can see, smoking is an extraordinarily difficult thing to give up.

More addictive than heroin we hear, or I’ve tried but….from a friend who gave up before, as they pick up a new cigarette.

It is not only the physical addiction, but also the social aspect of the habit that is difficult for the smoker to break.

The routine becomes part of the fabric of their day, be it stepping outside for a first cigarette, sitting in a pub with a pint and beer and smoke with a friend, or just the daily chat with the friendly tobacconist: once these moments are woven into the fabric of our lives the habit becomes more and more difficult to break.

The medical profession advise a wide range of treatments that should help you to quit smoking, mainly related to drugs and other prescription items.

While the profit model for the suppliers of this range of patches, gums, and replacement therapies is easy to see, the effectiveness for the average smoker-to-quit is less clear.

In many cases the addiction to nicotine by cigarette is only replaced to addiction to nicotine by patch, and the underlying reasons for the smoker’s wanting to pick up their next cigarette remain un-altered.

And as a smoker finds them falling straight back onto habits that they know they would prefer to have let behind them but seem unable to, their belief in their own self determination and personal choice can start to wain.

And what is going on behind all of this? While the smoker ‘decides’ to quit the habit using their conscious mind, it is the unconscious mind that each time overrides this choice, and sees you reaching for yet another cigarette.

So how can you go about translating the choices made by your conscious mind to the sub-conscious one and making those choices stick?

Well one route to altering those decisions that we keep on making is by talking directly to the subconscious a skill known as hypnotherapy.

The smoker listens to the voice of the hypnotherapist, and becomes relaxed.  They sometimes fall asleep or become drowsy, but equally often feel themselves to be fully awake throughout.

The hypnotherapist makes what is known as ‘suggestions’ to the smoker, and it is these that sinking more deeply into the smokers mind start to effect the real decision that the smoker makes at let’s call it ‘next cigarette time’.

Oddly enough the soon-to-be ex smoker finds themself in a strange situation:

-Their desire for that next cigarette is not what it used to be.

-The reasons for quitting that they have understood for so long, yet been unable to act on seem more important, and less easy to suspend from the mind for those critical moments prior to taking action.

-The strength of resolve that had previously crumbled so easily seems for no apparent reason to return.

How easy is it in this situation to feel  braver than before?

How easy to actually take the action that you had always hoped you would, and say No thanks I’m a non-smoker.

Surprised?  You probably will be, but that’s hypnotherapy to stop smoking!

Electronic Cigarette And How It Can Save You Thouasand Of Dollars A Year!!!

Personal Vaporizes are the products that are allowing current smokers to switch over to a smokeless lifestyle. A smokeless lifestyle can mean a healthier life, a smoke free life, but more importantly a cost efficient life that can save you thousands, keep reading to see how!

Electronic cigarettes offer consumers to switch over from traditional cigarettes to a electronic cigarette or commonly known as the Electronic Cigarette. This unique device provides the consumer with the liquid nicotine through an atomizer and a cartridge powered through a battery. This innovative technique allows the users to deliver the liquid nicotine through the electronic cigarette without allowing the hundreds of toxic chemicals that are often found in traditional cigarettes. The nicotine fix not only allows the user to smoke when they want but where they want.

Saving money with the electronic cigarette is a no brainer! The costs of cigarettes in the United States are going to be above a national average of $5.00-$7.00 for a pack of cigarettes and cartons over $100. If you are looking to save money with the electronic cigarette, or smokeless cigarette, then you have to look into www.smokelessdelite.com. The initial investment for the electronic cigarette starting at $69.99 is a rough bump in the pocket at first. But luckily that is a one time fee. Purchase the electronic cigarette once and buy electronic cigarette cartridges on a need to smoke basis. The cost of cartridges is extremely low when comparing them to the extremely high price of cigarettes. The electronic cigarette cartridges cost roughly $12 for a pack of electronic cigarette cartridges. But wait, there are 5 single cartridges in this $12 pack. And according to www.smokelessdelite.com, each electronic cigarette cartridge last approximately 60-80 drags, or equivalent to roughly one pack of cigarettes. So for one pack of electronic cigarette cartridges at about $12 you are getting somewhere between 4-5 packs of what you would some of traditional cigarettes.
Let’s say the national average for a pack of cigarettes is about $6 a pack (low ball) and you bought 5 packs of cigarettes that would cost you $30. $12 for a pack of electronic cigarette cartridges versus $30 for the same usage is a no brainer! Now let’s spread that over a year.

A one pack a day smoker would buy 365 packs of cigarettes a year and that would come to a grand total of $2,190.00. Wow that is expensive! If you used the electronic cigarette and buy electronic cigarette refill cartridges to last a year it would cost you $854 (5/ $12 = $2.40 a day x 365 days a year). $2,190.00-$854= A SAVINGS OF $1,336.00!!! Now that’s worth switching over to the electronic cigarette.
